The CopiBook is specifically designed for digitising books and bound materials. Its book-friendly design minimises stress on the spine and pages, making it ideal for digitising delicate, rare, or valuable items. By digitising the materials with the CopiBook, AIATSIS can create a digital surrogate, reducing the need for handling and preserving the original items. This helps extend the lifespan of the materials.
Sharing digitised collections with the community promotes broader accessibility, educational opportunities, and cultural exchange.
