We’re thrilled to be part of such a significant project.
The Australian Joint Copying Project (AJCP) is a collection of unique historical material relating to Australia, New Zealand and Pacific dating from 1560 to 1984. AJCP located and filmed thousands of institutions, organisations and private homes in almost every part of the United Kingdom. Filmed over 7.5 million individual documents.
DatacomIT is delighted to have been chosen by the National Library of Australia to digitise over 10,000 microfilm reels. Selecting the appropriate machinery and prepping our staff to ensure the safe handling and advance capture of this material was of the highest importance. Our staff worked proficiently for 12 months to successfully complete this project at the highest standard and within the timeframe specified – enhancing frame images that were difficult to read and capture, giving researchers the best view of this treasured collection.
We’re thrilled to announce that the AJCP digitised material is now available on Trove for all to access.
