World Digital Preservation Day is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of preserving digital information and heritage.
DatacomIT is hosting a webinar to highlight the importance of developing a digital preservation strategy for your organisation. This day serves as a reminder of the challenges and significance of safeguarding digital assets and materials for future generations.
Digitisation has been synonymous with digital preservation, but it is only one step in managing and preserving digitised and born-digital collections. This webinar will focus on the Preservica digital preservation system as a Trusted Digital Repository (TDR) for managing and preserving your digital assets.
Digital Preservation Consultant, Roger Mills, will provide an overview of Active Preservation with Preservica’s Starter and Professional systems. Archives and Collection Management specialist, Jess McDonald-Norman, will then drill down into the Professional system’s file format registry and format migration settings.
The session is designed for individuals, small collection owners, and large institutions to get an overview of the two systems, as well as a foundation in active preservation with Preservica.
